Citysearch - Great Food Great Service and Incredible Sangria!
I went there on Saturday night with my girlfriend. We had great service from the staff at Las Chicas Locas. The white sangria is incredible; best I've ever had. Absolutely the best.
I had the beef tacos for dinner.... They were incredible. Very simple and understated. Many mexican restaurants overthink tacos. At LCL, they are perfect.
Overall, it was a very good dining experience. Can't wait to go back - ppspice8477

“Gorgeous ambiance–this restaurant is huge & the decor reminds me of a 5 star lounge you would find downtown. My girlfriend and I started off with the two of their specialty drinks, mine being the “Serranorita” which is their twist on the classic margarita made with tres generaciones reposado tequila, pineapple juice, agave nectar, and serrano peppers!! I didnt think I would like a drink with such different ingridients but it blended together so well and was rather refreshing!! My girlfriend got the “blushing chica” which is served straight up and is basically a margarita with red wine! She LOVED it!! All of their drinks are made with fresh squeezed limes which I enjoyed.
We then started off with the guac, again freshly made and it showed! We also had their Shrimp Diablo appetizer(3 jumpo shrimps wrapped in Bacon!!).
For dinner I ordered the Carnitas Tacos(Pork). They were the perfect size, and came 3 to an order. They were soft shelled, open faced, and the meat was tender and the poblano cream and queso cheese on top gave it the perfect amount of flavor. My girlfriend had the Ancho Chili Rubbed Filet which in this instance I can literally use the term “melts in your mouth!” Perfectly prepared and seasoned. We shared the sweet potato fries which came with its own Chipolte Ketchup made in house and the Sauteed Charred Corn, both amazing!!
Our server was extremely attentive and in between bites we enjoyed the variety of music(anything from Michael Jackson to Salsa!). I just spoke to a manager about having my birthday party there as the lounge space adjacent to the dining area is PERFECT for this sort of occasion.
I highly recommend Las Chicas Locas to anyone and everyone looking for genuine, fresh, and tasty mexican food at a good price with some AMAZING drinks on the side:)”

I started coming here with coworkers a little while ago and I am increasingly impressed by the consistency of the food- anything I've ever ordered here has been excellent, and anything I've sampled that a friend or co-worker was eating was also delicious. The guacamole is aways fresh and tastes very similar to what you would find in Mexico. The filet with tequila-lime butter is expensive but worth it for how tender and flavorful it is. The design of the place is interesting - divided down the middle, half is a restaurant and half is a bar/lounge. While I've only ever been here for dinner, it seems to be a popular happy hour destination as well. - Gemma418

Exactly the reason I love mexcican
it is mexican spots like LCL that make me love mexican eats... the vibe and atmosphere is cool (not expected in the area) and the food is just as good... great tacos and the adobo chicken is a great throw back dish I haven't seen in a while. Definitely going back... - FU NYC

Superb Mexican
The food is excellent - I've been there a few times and have enjoyed any dish I've ever ordered. The guacamole and chili rubbed filet were particularly flavor-packed. Small and intimate, would recommend for dates or small parties. - Anonymous

I went here on a Tuesday night with a couple of great friends and was EXTREMELY impressed with the food and the service. Our waitress was fast, efficient and friendly without being intrusive to our conversations, and offered great menu suggestions. The manager was also very nice, going out of his way on a busy night to make sure we were taken care of. Not to mention, everything we ate was absolutely delicious. LCL Margaritas...the Ultimate Indulgence!!!

I went out with a friend on Friday night and we were looking for a place to grab a few drinks. Somehow we ended up walking by Las Chicas Locas and neither of us had ever heard of it before, but it had a nice sign and looked promising. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the lounge area, which had really comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Margaritas are always my drink of choice, so I ordered a regular and my friend tried the blushing chica--they were both AMAZING. The regular margarita was perfect (have it without salt!) and had no sour mix filler--it was full of fresh lime and not too sweet. The blushing chica was new to both of us, but had its own distinctive flavor and sweetness. It was like a mix between a margarita and a cosmo martini and it was awesome. I highly recommend this place for the margaritas and can't wait to go back to try the food!

I caught wind of its opening through an office colleague and decided to check it out. I was surprised because it is right next door to my office and as per usual I don’t pay too close attention to things in this area.
I am glad to write this review because I really enjoyed myself.
We were 4 total, the colleague that suggested it and two other office friends. We all shared the good time equally. The happy hour apps were very delicious and our sangria drinks h*t the spot.
I wonder if they'll have white sangria once this horrible winter ends...hint!!!!!! I’d place bets on the outside being great once it’s warm.

I went with friend/colleague last night for late night guacamole since the kitchen is open till midnight, SO AMAZING. Large chunks of avocado mixed with salt, a little tomato/cilantro/onion. . . my friend doesn't even like tomato/onion in her guacamole and she is addicted to this stuff. This place has only been open for a couple months and my friend comes here at least once a week!!! Service was fun and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool lounge vibe without going all the way down to soho!!

WHAT CAN I SAY? LAS CHICAS LOCAS MADE MY FRIENDS AND I FEEL WELCOME FROM THE MOMENT WE ENTERED!! THE BARTENDER AND HER WONDERFUL MOJITOS (SOO SORRY I DIDN'T GET HER NAME). MY SERVER LYNNE...SEE LYNNE I DIDNT FORGET THE "E"...THE TALL GENTLEMAN IN THE SUIT WHO CONSTANTLY MADE SURE WE WERE OK AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST CHRIS (MANAGER?) HE WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT! MY FRIENDS AND I WILL MOST ASSUREDLY BE BACK QUITE OFTEN. THE SANGRIA, MOJITOS AND MARGARITAS WERE ALL DELISH! AS WAS THE QUESO FUNDIDO AND THE AWESOME CHURROS WITH HOT CHOCOLATE!
